Looking for a Convenient Way to Whiten?

Zoom whitening is the in-office process of bleaching your teeth to make them whiter. Over time, teeth can become discolored due to drinking coffee or red wine, smoking, and even natural aging. Patients undergoing restorative procedures might also want to whiten their teeth so they match the crowns and bridges being implanted.

If you want dramatically whiter teeth, Zoom Whitening is the best way to go. This is a quick and convenient way to whiten your teeth. Research has even shown that Zoom whitening has good short-term and long-term effects, even after a stain-causing substance was added to the teeth after whitening.

How it works:

A light-activated gel made up of 25% hydrogen peroxide is applied to your teeth, and a Zoom chair-side lamp is shined on your teeth. The light breaks down the hydrogen peroxide, and oxygen enters the enamel and dentin of your teeth, making them whiter while leaving the structure of your teeth unchanged.

What to expect:

The procedure takes about an hour, but a full cleaning is recommended before the whitening procedure. While your teeth are being whitened, you can relax with music or television. Zoom whitening causes minimal sensitivity, but sensitivity can occur. Teeth whitening is not recommended for children under 13 or for pregnant or lactating women.

  • Fast – Most patients can expect a brighter, whiter smile in just one visit. Zoom Whitening will help you have that whiter smile just in time for that special occasion.
  • Safe – Zoom Whitening is proven to safe for your enamel and will bleach out discolorations without changing the structure of the tooth surface.
  • Effective – With Zoom Whitening you immediately notice long last results.

Aftercare:

Like with all teeth whitening products, the whiteness will fade, but your teeth will always be whiter than they were before. You will be provided with a Zoom touch-up kit, and we will instruct you on when, how often, and how to use it. Brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing every day is also recommended. Using a whitening toothpaste will help maintain the whiteness of your teeth. You might need to avoid certain stain-causing foods and beverages or consume them in moderation.
