Is it going to hurt?

Rest assured, that we are VERY conscience about the effects that past trauma has had on many of our patients. We are here to listen to your concerns and willing to take steps to avoid discomfort and make your visit comfortable and even pleasant. We try to use the laser when we can, which can provide virtually no pain, no shot, fillings and even some surgeries (can you believe it??) without "novocaine" and no drooping, numbness that follows traditional treatments. Sometimes we do need to use anesthesia. Don't fret. Topical anesthetics and technique make a huge difference. We care, we don't rush it. We've had patients say "when are you giving me the novocaine?" when we had already done it!! Maybe it's just the female touch. You are in control during your treatment. Do you need a break? Fine. Do you need a question answered, ask. It's about you.

Do you have payment plans?

We understand that medical and dental services can be costly. We try to maximize insurance benefits and offer a discount to seniors to help eleviate concerns over finances. We do have a payment plan through Care Credit. CareCredit is a zero interest card that can be used for dental, medical and veterinary services. Applying is easy and quick and payment schedules allow for monthly payments which can make treatment affordable.

We accept all insurances and are participating providers for CIGNA, ALTUS, BlueCrossBlueShield and Delta Dental. We do not accept MassHealth or MassHealth connector.

We give a 10% credit for patients who pay in full PRIOR to their appointment. We will work with you to schedule the most necessary treatment first and sequence other appointments over time to allow for you to get needed treatment yet pay gradually. We also offer in-house financing through a program called DOCPAY.

Why can't I have a cleaning at my new patient appointment?

At our office we provide comprehensive care. At your first appointment, we consider it to be a chance to listen to you and your concerns and a way for us to gather information to make the best decisions on your behalf. We review your medical history, do an oral cancer screening, a periodontal (gums and bone) evaluation, review any xrays, take intraoral pictures, chart all your existing fillings, look for any cavities, problems, pathology, bite issues, and address pain or cosmetic concerns. Whew! Let's say it's been a couple of years since your last dental visit, we have no idea what kind of "cleaning" you need. Gums and bone are your support system, they hold your teeth in. Some people need 2 cleanings because they have a lot of deposits or some bone loss. Others need scaling and rootplaning (deep cleanings). We can't diagnose until we have all the facts.Priority dictates and concern for YOU dictates that oral cancer or pain needs to be of utmost concern and should be addressed before a "Cleaning". We are not trying to inconvenience you, we are looking to serve your best interest and health. It's the right thing to do and you are worth it.

Do you do implants?

We do not surgically place the implants. We feel strongly that you are better served having a surgeon that has placed many implants, place yours. The doctors of this office believe that traditional implants (vs. mini implants) are a better long term solution. While mini implants may provide a cheaper option in the short haul, we believe traditional (bigger) implants may last longer and have the greatest success. In the long run, replacing mini implants with traditional implants is no savings. We make nothing on the placement of implant therefore, our belief is about what is in the best interest of our patients and their longterm investment. While we don't place implants we do provide abutment and implant crown and bridge and implant supported dentures.

Why can I get my dental work for cheaper at other offices?

Good, quality, high end materials, with service and care go a long way to saving more in the end.
I guess it's the old adage, "you get what you pay for". There may be some cheaper, but you don't know what you are getting. We use products that are clinically tested to be the best. We don't skimp. We have sales reps trying to sell us the lower product all the time. We don't go there. We want to feel we have done the best, with the best products every time. We go beyond. It's easy to see it in our office. Many patients say, over and over again, "wow, I never had that done before"or "nobody ever told me that". We go beyond in safety for our patients, from understanding your full medical health to our sterilization and safety protocol. Cutting edge costs. We stand behind our work. We are not a clinic. Our patients become our friends. Sincere caring feels differently. There are cheaper options, but, you have to ask yourself " am I really saving anything?" Good, quality, high end materials, with service and care go a long way to saving more in the end. Ask yourself why do they need to, for example, offer a cleaning for $59. And always read the fine print.
